Chemspec Asia is pleased to annouce its partnership with the following organisations:
The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) Chemical Industry Club (CIC) was established over 30 years ago and has 150 members, making it the second largest sector group in the FTI. It includes 5 sub-groups - Agro Chemicals, Basic Chemicals, Paints & Dyestuffs, Soaps & Detergents, and Other Chemicals.
Although the Petro Chemicals and Plastics are seperate FTI groups, they co-operate with the CIC to present a formidable national industry, with total sales of over 2 trillion baht (US$ 54 billion)
The CIC is a non-profit organisation, operated as a centre for dissemination of information and international regulations for the benefit of its members, for whom it interacts with local governmental and overseas agencies.
The CIC is also closely involved in chemicals management and safety through the Responsible Care Management Committee of Thailand.
Chemical Society of Thailand (C.S.T.) under Royal Patronage was founded in 1980 with the main purpose of collaborating with other international chemical societies. C.S.T. under Royal Patronage has since organized various activities and currently has approximately 900 members.
