The Annual Chemspec Events Scholarship Golf Outing 2014

The Chemspec Events Scholarship Golf Outing, held for the fourth year on Monday May 12, at Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club in Fort Washington, PA, was a huge success.

Over 105 golfers enjoyed the networking and competition on a beautiful sunny day. An additional 15 people from the chemical marketplace joined the players at the Reception/ Dinner.

A record high $ 21,000 was raised for scholarship awards for fortunate students attending Greater Delaware Valley Area (PA, NJ and DE) universities majoring in chemistry, chemical engineering and the life sciences. In four short years, the Chemspec Event has raised over $ 53,000 for this worthy cause.

The Chemical Heritage Foundation (the Event’s partner) and Chemspec management  will be presenting checks for scholarship assistance to these students and their institutions  at the Joseph Priestley Society Luncheon this fall at the Chemical Heritage Foundation  in Philadelphia (Thursday, September 11th) .

Over 40 chemical marketplace companies participated as sponsors. The sponsor and player lists were represented by industry companies from the US, Canada, Europe, India , China and Japan.
